For Danielle and Jeremy it was all about timing. Their love story is one that started years after initially meeting– as Danielle said, when they first met, marriage was the furthest thing from her mind. When they reconnected, they knew it was forever. These two are so sweet together and it’s a privilege to be their photographers! For the engagement session, we went back to the place where Jeremy proposed a few months ago, Quiet Waters Park on the South River. This beautiful evening on the water got us so excited for their waterfront wedding this winter!

Earlier this week we shared Tricia + Saheel’s traditional Indian marriage celebration (you definitely want to go back to that post if you haven’t seen it yet!) But today we are so excited to share their second day of celebration which was a traditional American wedding! Hosting a wedding in your back yard is truly no small task. Along with the couple and their family, an incredible list of vendors transformed a lovely grass space into a wedding venue! It really was an exceptional day with every detail thought through and executed beautifully. The one thing no body hopes for on a wedding day is rain– and Tricia and Saheel had plenty of it. Thankfully we had a few breaks in the clouds, but our awesome bride and groom, and their wedding party, kept spirits high and seemed to have fun the entire day through! We got some time to do portraits outdoors, even through some light rain, and between the lovely church ceremony and the spectacular tent set-up, the rain barely bothered us! Most importantly, after a full and exciting weekend, Tricia and Saheel are married! Family and friends traveled from L.A., India, Kenya, Australia, and more! It was really wonderful to witness and photograph these two families coming together. And again, I can’t say enough about the vendors (links below) that helped perfect this day!

Tricia + Saheel, we are so happy for you and so honored we got to be a part of it all! We love you!

Tricia and Saheel met as they were both studying their respective nursing programs at the University of Maryland and they have already had an amazing journey in their 4 years together. Saheel is Indian, born in Kenya, and has traveled all over the globe in between. Tricia is from the Baltimore area and has spent a lot of time traveling with Saheel, including to South Africa and Amsterdam, where he proposed! Tricia and Saheel being from opposite sides of the world, come from two different backgrounds and cultures. Their wedding weekend was a beautiful combination of their love for each other and for those who have walked with them and helped shape each of them over the years.

We had the privilege of photographing their traditional Indian marriage ceremony on Friday, and their traditional American wedding on Saturday! The weekend was a wonderful reflection of the couple (and was made amazing by all the incredible vendors, especially the event Planners at Lemon & Lime!) The day went off without a hitch, and we were smitten with the women’s beautiful sarees and cholis and absolutely blown away by Saheel’s Baraat. In an Indian wedding, the groom has a traditional entrance and procession called the Baraat that can be anything from a horse to an elephant… or Saheel’s MOST impressive helicopter arrival! Today we are excited to share the images from their Indian ceremony and more will come of their American wedding soon! Congratulations Tricia + Saheel!

Caitlin and Nathan’s wedding was our first of 2017, and it was truly a perfect start to our season!  From start to finish, we couldn’t have asked for a better day or a better couple to work with.  Renata said it best when she said Caitlin was one of the most gracious brides we’ve seen.  She has sort of this Grace Kelly poise and a beautiful smile that draws you in, and Nathan is her perfect counterpart.  Not to mention, we had an unseasonably hot day in April, and no one complained once!  You know, they say Marylanders talk more about their flag and the weather than anyone else.  Ha!  And truthfully, this past Saturday was perfect evidence of why we do that!  No one here expects 90 degrees in April!  But again, we really couldn’t have asked for a better day.  Every detail for this garden wedding was the perfect reflection of Caitlin and Nathan (affectionately known as “Natelin”).  As our first wedding in months, we know you’ll love this Annapolitan wedding and the sweet details surrounding it!

Caitlin and Nathan, we love you guys and are just SO happy for you!  Have a wonderful time in the Mediterranean!  🙂
